The next generation of provider quality

AI-driven personalization and clearer transparency, built into every provider recommendation.

Connecting people with higher-quality providers produces measurably better outcomes, keeps people more engaged in their care, and generates short- and long-term cost savings by reducing avoidable surgeries, ER visits, and hospitalizations.

That's why Included Health was founded on quality. And now, as CEO Owen Tripp explains in the video below, we are making quality more personalized, transparent, and actionable for our members:

Quality is the core engine of our platform, and always has been. In 2014, we set out to be the first company to define provider quality at the individual doctor level. And now we are making our largest update to quality since we brought this provider-specific model into the world.

Included Health understands that the best provider for me and the best provider for you might be two different people, even if we're on the same network with the same underlying health conditions. Dot, Included Health's personalized AI healthcare assistant, now gathers relevant data and preferences from our members to deliver a new level of personalization.

That personalization also comes with improvements in transparency. Members don't just see a recommended provider, they see the specific, easy-to-understand metrics behind why that provider is the best fit for them.

Provider Connect: Making the best choice the easy choice

These updates to quality come together in Provider Connect, Included Health's proprietary provider matching engine, which draws on tens of billions of data points to guide members toward top-quartile providers. In practice, that's translated into a 92% increase in connections to top-quartile providers and 7% lower inpatient hospital utilization — savings that compound over time.

Provider Connect isn't a tool members have to seek out on their own. It's embedded directly into the Dot experience, as well as Included Health's alternative health plan, which work together to keep members on the path to quality throughout their care journey.
