Serving up support: McDonald’s delivers free virtual care for retail employees

Virtual care benefits improve access to care for hourly employees and their families

When McDonald’s owner/operator Leo Lopez looked to expand employee benefits to remain competitive in a crowded market, Doctor On Demand by Included Health rose to the top as a differentiator. With this unique offering, all 1,700 LCL McDonald’s employees and their family members get access to ten free virtual care visits that can be used for everyday & urgent care or mental health care.

This virtual care benefit is shared with employees during onboarding, including walking them through potential ways to use it and helping them register for their account. Flyers during cold & flu season and personal reminders between colleagues helps keep this benefit top-of-mind so employees and their families can get the care they need, when they need it—and at no cost to them.
