Grand Rounds is the only virtual healthcare and navigation company to make the list
SAN FRANCISCO, May 12, 2021 – Grand Rounds, a leader in healthcare quality and navigation, has been named to Inc. magazine’s annual list of the Best Workplaces for 2021. The list honors American companies that have created exceptional workplaces and company culture whether in person or remote.
Grand Rounds, a tech-driven healthcare company raising the standard of healthcare for everyone, everywhere, has rapidly grown in the past year. This week, the company announced the completion of its merger with Doctor On Demand, a leading virtual care provider. They’re forming an integrated virtual care company that’s the first of its kind: the only virtual care company with a nationwide practice of diverse, dedicated providers and a multidisciplinary care team offering longitudinal relationships and integrated medical and behavioral healthcare.
“If you want to feel positive about the future of healthcare, come meet this team,” said Owen Tripp, co-founder of Grand Rounds and Chief Executive Officer of the combined company. “They’re not just professionally driven, they’re personally passionate about the awesome challenge we’ve chosen — raising the standard of healthcare for everyone. So much about our industry is complex, but this is simple: We do all we can to provide a workplace that draws and keeps the most diverse, inclusive and capable talent, then they turn around and do the best work of their lives.”
Inc. had thousands of submissions this year, and singled out 429 honorees. Each nominated company took part in an employee survey, conducted by Quantum Workplace, on topics from management effectiveness to perks and fostering employee growth. Benefits were audited too, to determine the company’s overall score and ranking.
“The definition of a positive workplace has changed drastically over the past year,” says Inc. magazine editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “Stocked fridges and nap pods were no longer perks many companies could rely on once work went remote. So, this year’s list is even more important as it reveals organizations that continue to enrich the lives of its employees amid a pandemic.”
